-Basic Care fo Chinchillas- -Feeding of chinchillas.
To the being a basically herbivore animal, possesses a very developed blind intestine, with a complex intestinal flora whose delicate balance is essential for the good operation of the digestive apparatus. An inadequate feeding can alter the gastrointestinal apparatus, causing this way the bacterial imbalance that is sometimes the main and decisive cause of enteritis that almost always has a sad outcome. The appropriate foods for the chinchilla.
The chinchilla feeds mainly of vegetables and of fruit. The foods but appropriate for their nutrition they can be classified in three groups:
